Questions and answers

Here we would like to answer the most important questions in connection with your stay at Turm Leiben. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us at any time (to the contact form).

Where can I get the keys for my flat?
Please let us know your arrival time at least one day before your arrival. We will then come to the flat to hand over the keys at the agreed time. We are currently working on a technical solution to enable our guests to arrive independently and therefore with more flexibility.

Where can I park my car?
We have two parking spaces for your car on site. Otherwise, the large castle car park (2 min away) offers enough space for more cars and even an electric charging station.

When can I move into my flat?
The tower can be occupied from 3 pm on the day of arrival. You are welcome to request an earlier check-in.

Do I have to bring my own bed linen and towels?
Bed linen and one towel per guest are provided for your stay.

What coffee machine is available?
Each flat is equipped with a Nespresso capsule machine. You are welcome to purchase capsules from us on site: €6 for 10 capsules.

What other appliances is my flat equipped with?
Each flat has a Smart TV, WiFi (currently being set up by the provider), hairdryer, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher with washing machine.
In apartment Warte the kitchen is equipped with an induction hob and teppanyaki grill plate, oven and steamer.
In apartment Gewölbe the kitchen has an induction hob and steam oven.

I would like to cook myself. What do I need to bring?
The kitchen is fully equipped and offers both cooking utensils and crockery. You must bring your own food and spices (salt and pepper are on site).

Is there a final cleaning fee?
Cleaning is included in the price if the flats are left swept clean. By swept clean we mean that:

  • the rooms are swept after use.
  • any used dishes are put in the dishwasher and the dishwasher is switched on.
  • the bed linen is removed and placed in front of the room with the towels.

If the flats are left very dirty, we charge a cleaning fee of €150.

How often will my flat be cleaned?
The holiday flats are not cleaned during your stay. After the departure of guests, each holiday flat is thoroughly cleaned.

Are there washing facilities on site?
We have a washing machine for washing clothes. This can be used by prior arrangement and for a fee of €3.

Do I have to bring my own washing-up liquid?
We provide tablets for the dishwasher

Is there a charging point for electric cars?
There is an e-charging station at the Schloss Leiben car park, approx. 2 minutes away. We are already planning to install our own charging station for the tower.

Can I lock and Charge my E-bike Somewhere?
Following increased reports of e-bike batteries bursting into flames, we ask that you only charge your battery outdoors and disconnect it from the power supply immediately afterwards. Bikes can be locked to the garden fence.

How far is it to the nearest bus stop?
The bus stop is located directly in front of Turm Leiben on the public road. The VOR (Verkehrsverbund Ostregion) runs a bus service several times a day in the direction of Melk or Pöggstall. The timetable is displayed at the bus stop or can be found online at anachb.at.

Can I take my pet with me?
We do not allow pets.

How and when do I check out of my flat?
Check-out is possible until 12 noon on the day of departure. Please call us 30 minutes before departure to hand over the keys and to settle any additional charges.

Is smoking allowed in the flats?
Turm Leiben is a non-smoking building, smoking is only permitted on the terrace.

Are there shopping facilities nearby?
In Leiben there is a small grocery store "Nah und Frisch" with the most necessary products for everyday life. The nearest large supermarkets (Billa Plus, Hofer, Spar) are in Melk or Pöchlarn.
There is also a pizzeria "Morino", Hauptstraße 44, which offers a delivery service.

What interesting excursion destinations are there in the neighbourhood?
The district of Melk not only offers many cultural and culinary highlights. Come and explore the region. In addition to the Benedictine monastery at Melk Abbey, we also recommend visiting Maria Taferl and Pöggstall with its famous torture museum.
The Wachau wine-growing region with its many wineries and wine taverns is ideal for treating yourself to a Hauerjausn and a glass of wine in the evening. You can find many more recommendations and information on the website under activities or in our guest folder on site.
We have summarised all the important information in this folder.
